            NARRATOR

            BLIND MAN

            CROWD

            JESUS

The blind man is sitting on the edge of the stage in front of the crowd waiting to see Jesus.  Jesus enters from the opposite way.

Narrator: Jesus was coming near Jericho, and a certain blind man was sitting and begging by the road.  Suddenly, there was a lot of noise and confusion, and lots of people passing by.  When the blind man heard all the people he asked…

Blind Man: What’s happening?  What’s going on?  Where is everyone going?

Crowd: Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.

Blind Man: Jesus, Jesus of Nazareth, son of David! Have mercy on me, help me!

Crowd: Be quiet, shhh, leave him alone, hush.

Blind Man: Son of David, have mercy on me!

Jesus: Bring him over here. (The people in the crowd bring the blind man to Jesus) What do you want me to do for you?

Blind Man: Sir, I want to see again.

Jesus: (Jesus gently touches the blind man’s eyes) See!  Your faith has made you well.

Blind Man:  I can see! I can see!

Narrator: So the man decided to follow Jesus.

Blind Man: Thank you God for having Jesus heal me!  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Narrator:  And the crowd was also amazed and joyful.

Crowd: That’s amazing!  Praise God! How wonderful! What a guy!

Narrator:  We may not be able to heal someone who’s blind, unless we are eye doctors, but there are many ways to be blind to what’s going on around us and to not truly see what’s important.  Jesus teaches us that it’s important to bring light into the darkness however we can.  The end.
