How Information is Used
Your privacy is extremely important to us and we do everything we can to protect it.  To that end, progressivechristianity.org only gathers personal data -- such as name, address, e-mail address etc. -- only when you voluntarily submit it.  If an organizational affiliate wishes to participate in our online directory, we will post their contact information on our site.  Individual affiliates also have the option to be listed in our Directory, for the purpose of connecting and networking with other local progressive Christians.  However, even if information is displayed in our directory, we will never sell, rent or lease the personal information we collect to any third party.  Additionally, any of your information that is not voluntarily displayed on our website is considered absolutely private and will not be disclosed in any manner to any person without prior consent, unless otherwise required by law. 

All information collected through store purchases, affiliation forms, mailing lists, event registrations, ebulletin lists, donation cards, ect. will be added to our database and may be used to send out pertinent, periodic mailings – both email and postal.   These include, but may not be limited to, newsletters, annual reports, fundraising appeals, special offers, and information regarding events sponsored or co-sponsored by progressivechristianity.org. 

Updating Personal Information
If any of your personal information - such as email address, postal address or phone number - changes, you may update it anytime by logging into our website, clicking “profile”, and updating the appropriate information. 

To change your email address for your subscription to our ebulletin, click on your profile link located at the bottom of every e-bulletin mailing, and change the email address in the appropriate box.  To unsubscribe, simply click the “unsubscribe” link located at the bottom of every email.

 You may also contact us directly by telephone or postal mail at the contact information listed on the contact page of our website.

How Information is Protected

When you submit information via our Web site, your information is protected both on and off-line. Credit card numbers are not stored anywhere on our system and cannot be viewed by anyone at any point during or after the on-line transaction.

Personal information received off-line, such as over the phone, will be used to complete the immediate transaction – ie. purchase, subscriptions, donations, affiliations, ect.  The information will then be immediately shredded.

Our website contains links to other sites. Please be aware that progressivechristianity.org, is not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our site, and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by progressivechristianity.org.

We want you to stay updated regarding what we do with your personal information.  So, if we ever make changes to our privacy policy, we will post them in this privacy statement, on our homepage, and any other place we deem appropriate so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
